Coaching Courses for 2025

The following modules are offered as part of the CCA (Community Coaching Award) Level 1 framework, a Netball NZ coaching programme. These courses are aimed at any coaches wanting to learn more about coaching and gain additional skills..

Planning - Wednesday 26th February

Defence - Wednesday 9th April

Shooting - Thursday 1st May

Attack - Wednesday 7th May

The Community Coach Award 1 & 2

A Netball NZ Qualification

There are nine Modules involved in the Community Coach Award 1. These are run on a regular basis across the region. The first module is Player Centred Coaching, as it’s the starting module. Once you have completed this you can go on and complete any of the other eight in any order over a period of two years.

The Modules are:

• Skill Analysis
• Planning
• Communication and Managing others
• Defence 1
• Shooting
• Selecting
• Attacking Fundamentals

Once you have completed CCA 1,  you may begin the Community Coach Award 2 (8 modules)

• Developing Physical Capacity
• Game Analysis
• Mental Skills
• Planning an Annual Tournament
• Through Court
• Centre Pass
• Circle Work
• Coach Observation
